No not the iconic 70's pop group, but rather an episode involving a Wispa bar at the latest round of Eventing Ireland (Northern Region) at the lovely surroundings of Vesey Lodge on the outskirts of Belfast.

The sound of the nearby motorway was in sharp contrast to the relative peace and serenity of Equestrian Competition and this day wasn't without its hitches. There was a fall or two (thankfully without any serious injury to horse and rider), one or two slight delays while necessary fence rebuilds took place on the cross-country course and there were also a few brilliant 'saves'. All of these glitches had one thing in common - they were all dealt with professionalism and calmness, a credit to organisers and riders alike!

Which brings me to the tale of the Wispa Bar. I had taken up position at the water test under a beautiful tree, and during one of the aforementioned delays I sat my camera down and decided the timing was perfect to launch into the chocolate delight. Alas, as I stuck my hand into the camera bag to retrieve my guilty pleasure, my eager anticipation was quickly replaced by dimay as it soon transpired that the once proud chocolate bar was now a 'chocolate frube'!!
As a wise poet once said - 'Sod that'.....
